History of PCR

Professional Court Reporters was established in May of 1987. In 2006, Karen Sparkes adopted the role of Owner and President. An experienced court reporter herself, Karen brought her ambition, leadership, and passion for the legal industry to the table and expanded its head office, as well as adding offices in Markham, Hamilton, Mississauga, Burlington and London.

In this new era, Professional Court Reporters has offices across Ontario.  We have introduced new and innovative reporting and transcription techniques to the legal industry. Our high-quality recordings and transcripts are accompanied by our exclusive E-Legal transcript services, which brings a new level of reliability and accuracy to our services.

We relocated our head office to 4881 Yonge Street, Suite 700 located in the Yonge Sheppard Centre with direct subway access.  Our modernized offices provide oversized boardrooms with plenty of space for social distancing and every boardroom has a windowed view up and down Yonge Street.

The PCR Difference

Professional Court Reporters a proud producer of E-legal transcripts, an innovative, digital alternative to bound transcripts.  The E-legal technology syncs the transcript with the audio recording allowing for 100% verifiable accuracy. As an accompaniment to all of our bound transcripts, the E-legal version features word search capabilities and hyperlinked Exhibits for ease and accuracy when preparing for trial.  Our transcript team is committed to the integrity and confidentiality of all of our clients, which is why we provide every step, from court reporting to typing to binding the transcripts, in house.  We are also committed to storing all audio, video, and transcript files for a minimum of 7 years.

When our clients book with PCR they can always expect the highest level of service.  Our newly renovated modernized offices provide oversized boardrooms with plenty of space for social distancing and every boardroom has a windowed view up and down Yonge Street.

Our new modernized Café greets our clients in the morning with Espresso and speciality coffees ground fresh by you for the best fresh coffee in town.   Enjoy our full complimentary breakfast, hot and cold lunches with daily variety and themed days.  For your afternoon sugar fix visit our candy corner.  Our Café has everything you need including charging stations and large screen T.V.  Our team at Professional Court Reporters is dedicated to our client’s satisfaction and success, so please don’t hesitate to ask us any questions.  We are more than happy to accommodate most requests.
